River Festival 2010
Silent Retreats 2010
Schedule 2010

TRANSFORMATION CYCLE
The Transformation Cycle is the peak of each season. The Cycle embodies the essence of PachaMama and is a profound experience that triggers a process of healing, deep understanding and expansion of consciousness. It is designed to revitalize and rejuvenate the physical body, the emotional centre and the mind. It is meant to shake and expose all layers of being as a platform to discover a silent and peaceful spirit.
The Transformation Cycle takes place three times a year:
Air Season Cycle: December 2 – January 1
Fire Season Cycle: March 2 – April 1
Earth season Cycle: June 2 – July 2

SILENT RETREAT
The Language of the Soul
March 25 - April 1, 2010
As high as the celebration goes as deep is the inner quest. A Silence Retreat is a precious opportunity to focus solely on the most earnest questions of the heart and to spend some days in silence, in a beautiful, natural setting. There will be satsangs twice a day and meditations throughout.
(The “Who is in ?” is a prerequisite for participating in the Retreat. The Vipassana Retreat which happens simultaneously is an option if one has already done a handful of Who is In? groups in the past.)

RIVER MOON FESTIVAL
10th Anniversary Celebration
Nature, Love and Rock 'n Roll
January 24 - February 1, 2010
In 2010 the annual River Festival will become a 9-day celebration instead of the usual 6 days. This is the highlight of the year taking place in January shortly after the intensive 5-week Transformation Cycle. The River Festival is a tribal musical gathering that combines world music, live chanting, singing circle, rock music and ends with a Goa-style trance party with DJ Tyohar. The Festival is held in one of PachaMama's most beautiful spots, the wild river in the heart of a pristine forest in the valley. During the festival PachaMama is closing down the village and its daily activities to move undisturbed into this jewel of nature, melting into it and celebrating with it.

TRIBAL GATHERING
The Merging of the Ways
April 9 - 14, 2010
In this colorful gathering PachaMama invites the native ways of Mexico, Colombia, Brazil and merges it with the North American culture of the hippie movement. The ‘Red Road’ or ‘Camino Rojo’ is the spiritual path of traditions that have been preserved and are still alive and practiced today. The cornerstones are sweatlodges, tribal dancing, medicinal circles and the Aztec Mexica Danza. These dances are a prayer and offer gratitude to the Great Spirit (the name Native Americans gave to the essence of creation.)
FORCA DE LA LUNA
April 28, 2010
A tribal ceremony produced and led by the Aztec Grandmothers and the PachaMama women. The sisterhood comes together for rituals, prayers, dances and sweat lodges. This ceremony aims to empower and be delighted by the feminine...
SACRED MUSIC RITUAL
with Carioca
July 5 - 10, 2010
A shamanic journey in which the entire village comes together for a waterfall of music over a few nights that embodies prayer, meditation and celebration. The rituals have the distinct taste of the Amazonian rainforest and the songs are a call for healing and awakening of the spirit.
